It’s no secret that many voters are fed up with politics and politicians. That frustration helped propel Donald Trump to the White House. But in Kansas, it’s also energizing an independent campaign for governor and a grassroots effort to form a new political party. Jim McLean of the Kansas News Service is tracking both.
Post script: Greg Orman, mentioned in the radio story above, isn't the only independent candidate running for Kansas governor this year. Independent candidate Rick Kloos and his running mate / son Nathaniel Kloos have gathered enough signatures to appear on the ballot. Three college students and one high school student are also running for Kansas governor as independents.
