Trial Tests Kansas Voter Registration Rules

Kansas’s voter registration law — among the strictest in the country — went on trial in federal court today (TUE). As Celia Llopis-Jepsen of the Kansas News Servicereports from the courthouse, Secretary of State Kobach and the ACLU are fighting over how many people the law blocked from voting, and whether it’s needed to protect elections.
