Kansas Gas Prices Near Record Lows

Kansas ranks twelfth in the nation for the least expensive gas.
Kansas ranks twelfth in the nation for the least expensive gas.

The price at the pump in the Sunflower State is now down twenty percent from last year. AAA of Kansas spokesman Jim Hanni says gas prices have been dropping for more than a month across the state.

A gallon of regular in Kansas is averaging $2.12 per gallon, about 25 cents less than in many other parts of the country. Some motorists report seeing prices near $1.80 per gallon in Topeka. Hanni credits an increase in gas production for the falling prices.
