Thousands of supporters of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders turned out in Lawrence Thursday night to hear him speak. Sanders called for overhauling the criminal justice system, tightening campaign finance laws and cutting the cost of college tuition. He garnered big applause from the crowd at the Douglas County fairgrounds when he spoke about racial inequality, women’s issues and gay rights.

That’s Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders speaking Thursday at a rally in Lawrence. He’ll face fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton in Saturday’s caucus.
