Thousands of people welcomed Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders to Bartle Hall in Kansas City Wednesday. Sanders, who’s running for the Democratic nomination, painted a bleak picture of the country. But he also promised to fix wage disparity, rebuild roads and bridges and guarantee healthcare for everyone. He also promised to help those who've taken out college loans.
Sanders says he could pay for all these -- and other initiatives -- chiefly by taxing stock traders, corporations and wealthy individuals. He also noted that Congress opposes much of his agenda.
