A couple years ago, an organization called Folk Alliance International moved its headquarters from Memphis to Kansas City. Last February, 3,000 musicians from around the world came to Kansas City for the Folk Alliance annual music conference. This year's conference is now just a few weeks away. From member station KCUR, reporter C-J Janovy (JAN-a-vee) explains how the city's music scene has changed.
This year’s Folk Alliance International conference is February 18th through the 22nd at the Crown Center hotels.
Kansas Public Radio is one of the Media Sponsors for the event.
