A woman who's been guiding a network of health-care clinics for low-income Kansans has been named to lead the Wyandotte Health Foundation. Cathy Harding, the executive director of the Kansas Association for the Medically Underserved, will take over as CEO of the $40 million foundation in July. Harding says she’s eager to partner with Kansas City, Kansas Mayor Mark Holland in his efforts to improve the health of Wyandotte County residents.
Wyandotte County annually ranks among the least healthy counties in the state because of poverty, lack of access to health care and a host of other socio-economic factors.
