Ride for the Red to Benefit Area Red Cross

This is the fourth year the Kansas Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross has hosted the "Ride For The Red" event. The benefit begins on September 7th at Heartland Park in Topeka. Meghan Spreer is with the American Red Cross:

Spreer says that this year, the event will double as an opportunity for volunteers to practice their skills. Chapter volunteers will conduct a training exercise in Mass Care and Feeding, using the Emergency Response Vehicle to feed lunch to the riders at Lake Wabaunsee. To register for Ride For The Red, visit RedCross.org, or call 234-0568.
