Hennecke (HEN-ih-kee) says the heaviest rain is expected tonight (THUR) and tomorrow (FRI) morning. That's prompted the weather service to issue a Flash Flood Watch. It takes effect tonight (THUR) and lasts through tomorrow (FRI) afternoon for the following counties: ANDERSON... COFFEY... DOUGLAS... FRANKLIN... GEARY... LYON... MORRIS... OSAGE... SHAWNEE... WABAUNSEE... DICKINSON AND OTTAWA.

The Flash Flood Watch takes effect tonight (THUR) and lasts through tomorrow (FRI) afternoon for much of eastern Kansas, including the cities of Topeka, Lawrence, Ottawa, Emporia, Junction City, Osage City and Abilene.
