There’s a continued risk of tornadoes associated with storms predicted to hit parts of Kansas today (MON). Chad Omitt is with the National Weather Service in Topeka. He says so far this spring, a lack of warm, moist air moving up from the Gulf of Mexico has meant a low-risk of tornadoes, but conditions have now changed.
Omitt says the greatest risk of tornadoes in Kansas generally lasts through at least mid-June.
