Computer Server Failure Shuts Down Driver's License Stations All Across Kansas

A problem with a computer server has shut down the system for issuing Kansas driver's licenses and state of Kansas identification cards. The Kansas Department of Revenue says a replacement part for the problem server has been ordered, and it's hoped the system will be back online this (TUE) afternoon. In the meantime, the outage is affecting driver's license examination stations run by the state and those in various county treasurers' offices. Kansans hoping to get a new driver's license or renew an old one will have to wait until the system is back online. The system used for processing car titles and automobile registraion is currently unaffected.  For more information, visit the Kansas Department of Revenue online.
