Addison Frei and Tahira Clayton

Lawrence native Addison Frei has achieved acclaim as the winner of the American Jazz Pianist Competition and UNISA International Piano Competition (South Africa). Addison returned home in late March for a concert at the Lawrence Arts Center alongside vocalist Tahira Clayton. While Tahira and Addison met at the University of North Texas, they are now based in New York City, performing regularly at venues such as the Kitano, the Cell Theatre and Cornelia Street Cafe.

Clay Jenkins is an esteemed jazz artist and professor at the University of Rochester's prestigious Eastman School of Music.  In addition to his teaching duties, Clay is one of the most sought after jazz trumpeters in the country today. Clay's career as a jazz artist and educator has covered a wide range of musical experiences and responsibilities, bringing him to the forefront of the jazz performing and teaching arenas.

Jeremy Siskind

Jeremy Siskind, winner of the 2012 Nottingham International Jazz Piano Competition and the second place winner of the 2011 Montreux Solo Piano Competition, is also a composer whose latest album features Grammy winning vocalists Kurt Elling and Peter Eldridge. Siskind plays a mix of standards and originals in his solo piano performance in the KPR Studio.

The Paul Shinn Trio
