The renowned Kavafian Schub Shifrin Trio stopped by KPR the morning before their concert at Swarthout Recital Hall on the KU Campus (performance date 9/26/11). KU Saxophone Quartet

In anticipation of the Songs of Pioneer Women at Grace Cathedral in Topeka Friday, September 2nd, Singers Sharon O'Connell Campbell, Sylvia Stoner, Sarah Tannehill and pianist Ellen Bottorff stopped by the KPR studios for a preview performance. Bach Aria Soloists: A Night of Tango

The Bach Aria Soloists are joined by two legendary tango masters from South America for this concert recorded at the Lawrence Arts Center. Hector del Curto from Argentina, known as one of the world's leading bandoneonists, and jazz/tango pianist Gustavo Casenave from Uruguay, join Elizabeth Suh Lane, violin; Beau Bledsoe, guitar; and Jeff Harshbarger, double bass for this program of mostly tangos by Astor Piazzolla.Engineer(s): Jason Slote, Chubias Smith
