Winning Mega Millions Ticket Sold in N-E Kansas - 1 of 3 to Split Prize

One of three winning tickets in Friday night's world-record Mega Millions lottery jackpot was sold in Kansas.  The other two winning tickets were sold in Illinois and Maryland.  The three tickets will split a total prize of $640 million, which is believed to be the world's largest-ever prize.

According to the Kansas Lottery website, one jackpot-winning ticket was purchased somewhere in northeast Kansas.  A spokesman for the Illinois Lottery says his state's winning ticket was sold in the small town of Red Bud, near St. Louis. The Maryland Lottery says it had sold a winning ticket at a retail store in Baltimore County.  Each winning ticket is expected to be worth more than $213 million before taxes.

The winning numbers drawn Friday night are: 2-4-23-38-46, Mega Ball 23.
