Wichita Drug Deal Gone Bad; Man Shot over $1,600 Worth of Pot

WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Police say a man has been shot in Wichita after being involved in the sale of $1,600 worth of marijuana.  Lt. James Espinoza says the 35-year-old man was selling the marijuana Tuesday to three men when one of them pulled out a gun, shot the victim and left with the drugs.  Espinoza said the victim drove to a convenience store to call his wife for help. His wife then called police.  Officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to his stomach. He was taken to a local hospital, where he is in serious but stable condition.  Police say they found 3 pounds of marijuana worth nearly $10,000 and several thousand dollars in cash inside the victim's rental car. He will be arrested on several suspected offenses.  Two 18-year-old men and a 19-year-old man were arrested in connection to the robbery and shooting.
