(Flickr Photo by Nicole Vaughan)

Thursday is Valentine's Day, the holiday of love, designed to show that special someone just how much you really care. There are many symbols of love: hearts, candy, Cupid. For Commentator William Jennings Bryan Oleander and his sweetheart, another symbol of love is... the refrigerator.

The comments of William Jennings Bryan Oleander... otherwise known as Tom Averill, author and Writer-in-Residence at Washburn University. More of Oleander's work can be found on the KPR website.

Production assistance for this commentary comes from KPR news interns Jeff Carmody and Dana McCoy.
