StoryCorps: Topekans Remember Brown v. Board

Week of September 29, 2019: This year marks the 65th anniversary of the landmark Brown v. Board decision. On this week's KPR Presents, we hear from Kansans who look back on the days before and after legal segregation. These interviews were recorded for NPR's StoryCorps in 2014. We'll also hear from Ajit Pai, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, who stopped by Kansas Public Radio and talked to KPR news director J. Schafer. We'll also visit with Shelly London, this year's recipient of the Robert J. Dole Humanitarian Award. The StoryCorp and Shelly London portions of this week's program were originally broadcast on May 5, 2019.
