Some Topeka Domestic Abuse Cases Go Unprosecuted

Misdemeanor domestic violence cases in Topeka are going unprosecuted, because of a budget dispute. Both the city and county say they don’t have the money to handle the cases. As Kansas Public Radio’s Stephen Koranda reports, there have been at least 18 domestic battery arrests where the alleged abuser has been released without charges.

Stephen Koranda is KPR's Statehouse reporter.
