Lansing Inmates Back in Custody
EDGERTON, MO. (AP) — Three inmates who walked away from a northeast Kansas prison are back in custody. Allen Hurst and Scott Gilbert emerged from a rural northwest Missouri home late Friday afternoon after hours of negotiations. A third man, Randy Rivens, Sr., was apprehended as he was entering Topeka last night (FRI).

Formal Charges in Triple Homicide; Toddler Still Missing
OTTAWA, Kan. (AP) — A man arrested earlier this week has been charged in the deaths of a woman and two men whose bodies were found at a eastern Kansas farm home. Kyle Flack also is charged in the death of the woman's young daughter. Authorities say they presume 18-month-old Lana Leigh Bailey is dead.

Police Expect More Arrests in Salina Murder
SALINA, Kan. (AP) — Salina police expect to make more arrests in the death of a woman whose body was found this week. Officers arrested a Salina man Wednesday on suspicion of premeditated first-degree murder in the death of Kristin Tyler. Tyler's body was found Thursday in a ravine off Interstate 135 near Salina.

Tobacco Settlement Details Forthcoming
TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — The Kansas attorney general's office says it will release information about the state's share of tobacco settlement funds in a timely manner if it can do so legally. Attorney General Derek Schmidt announced last month that Kansas received nearly $68 million in tobacco settlement funds for the current fiscal year. That's almost $13 million more than expected.
