Proposal Would Stream Audio from Kansas Statehouse Committee Rooms

Any bill under consideration by Kansas lawmakers is likely to be discussed in a committee room before it’s taken up by the full chamber. A proposal currently under consideration would provide live online audio streaming of discussions in many of the committee rooms at the Statehouse so that Kansas citizens could easily hear what lawmakers are discussing. Former courthouse reporter and spokesman for the Kansas Supreme Court, Ron Keefover says the Statehouse committee rooms are where the real decisions are often made.

Keefover is the President of the Kansas Sunshine Coalition for Open Government.
