The receipts haven't been completely tallied yet, but Kansas State Fair manager Denny Stoecklein (STECK-line) says all signs indicate it was a very good year for the state's annual showcase event.
Stoecklein says he's optimistic that gate receipts will also reflect an improvement over last year.

Good News for Kansas State Fair Finances
They're still waiting on the tally for the gate receipts... but Kansas State Fair Manager Denny Stoecklein (STECK-line) is optimistic about the overall return from this year's fair, based on revenue from rides and concessions.
Stoecklein says it was the second biggest year ever for the carnival midway... and food and beverage receipts were up about 9 percent from 2011.
