Poor Kansans and Providers Have A Lot Riding on Medicaid Decision

The federal health reform law recently upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court greatly expands Medicaid, the healthcare program for the poor. But a twist in the ruling made the expansion optional for states. What Kansas officials will decide to do isn’t yet clear. What is clear, as Jim McLean of the KHI News Service reports, is that their decision…whatever it is…will have a big impact on health care providers and uninsured Kansans.
