Looking Back At 2005, When Kansas Came Close to a Constitutional Crisis Over School Funding

Kansas could be on the hook for hundreds of millions of dollars more per year to fund its public schools. As the legislative session approaches, that has some Republican lawmakers talking about pushing back against the Kansas Supreme Court, which is ordering them to increase education spending. From the Kansas News Service, Celia Llopis-Jepsen (YOH-peace JEHP-sehn) takes us back to the year lawmakers almost defied the court.
