KS Redistricting Battle Could Affect Military Voting

The Kansas Legislature's failure to redraw congressional and legislative district maps could hurt one group of voters in particular. Secretary of State Kris Kobach, whose office is responsible for conducting state elections, says the deadline for sending primary ballots to military members stationed overseas is coming up quickly:

Kobach says the deadline is early because his office has to mail ballots to soldiers so they can vote...and then the soldiers have to mail their ballots back to be counted by Election Day.
