Bills have been derailed in Topeka that would have weakened green energy regulations. Current regulations require Kansas utilities to gradually increase the amount of power they get from renewable sources – and some lawmakers wanted to roll back those regulations. But, as Jim McLean of the KHI News Service reports, the bills encountered strong bipartisan opposition yesterday (THUR) in both the House and Senate.
