KPR Presents:Title IX and Women's Sports

Conversation with Marlene Mawson, Part 2

Week of June 19, 2022: Title IX marks its 50th anniversary this week. On this week's KPR Presents, we explore how Title IX revolutionized women's sports with Marlene Mawson, the "Mother of Women's Sports at KU." Mawson is the author of "Mawson's Mission: Launching Women's Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Kansas." This conversation was originally broadcast on KPR Presents on August 15, 2021, after "Mawson's Mission" was named a Kansas Notable Book.
