Two Kansas children's book authors take on political protest: Prisca Barnes of Wichita is the author of People, Pride, and Promise: The Story of the Dockum Sit-In, and Lindsay Metcalf of Concordia is the author of Farmers Unite! Planting a Protest for Fair Prices. Both books were named Kansas Notable Books in 2021, awarded by the State Library of Kansas. This program originally aired on KPR Presents on November 28, 2021.
