Week of April 17, 2022: We celebrate National Poetry Month with U.S. Poet Laureate Joy Harjo, from her February 23rd virtual event sponsored by Humanities Kansas, the Lawrence Public Library, and Haskell Indian Nations University. We also visit the Tonganoxie Historical Society and Museum, currently premiering a new traveling exhibit, "Living Sovereignty: Sustaining Indigenous Autonomy in 'Indian Territory.'"
