Every fall, you can look to the Kansas landscape and find a temporary tapestry of colors. You can also find... seagulls. Well, not SEA-gulls, exactly. But, gulls! Huge numbers of gulls migrate through Kansas this time of year. Commentator Rex Buchanan gives us an introduction to our autumn guests.

Commentator Rex Buchanan is the interim director of the Kansas Geological Survey at the University of Kansas and a regular contributor to Kansas Public Radio.

Production assistance for this commentary was provided by KPR News Intern Austin Fitts, a graduate of the University of Kansas.
