Kansas Limits on Malpractice Damage Awards Challenged

The Kansas Supreme Court is considering a medical malpractice case that could affect doctors, patients and trial attorneys. At issue is the constitutionality of a state law that limits the amount of money that victims of medical malpractice can collect in court. As Jim McLean of the KHI News Service reports, one victim is challenging the state's cap on damage awards.

You can find more on the Miller case and its potential effect on doctors, hospitals and patients on the website of the Kansas Health Institute --
