Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer says paying teachers bonuses for carrying guns might help prevent school shootings. But as Stephan Bisaha (bih-SAH-ha) of the Kansas News Service reports, Colyer said that's a local -- not a state -- decision.

Kansas Governor Talks Gun Policy on NPR

Governors from across the country met with President Trump at the White House today (MON).   After the meeting, Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer spoke to NPR about the renewed debate over gun control.  While some states are considering changes to existing gun laws, Colyer says he's not in favor of raising the age requirement for purchasing firearms.
