Kansas DCF Wants to Hire Investigator to Find Missing Kids

Former DCF administrators told lawmakers last year that an average of 70 children were missing from state custody at any given time.

The Kansas child welfare agency wants to hire a full-time investigator to track down missing kids. The Legislature’s budget-writing committee has agreed to allocate the money to do it. From the Kansas News Service, Madeline Fox reports.
