Kansas Book Festival to Showcase Authors, Readings

The Kansas Book Festival gets underway tomorrow (SAT) at the Kansas Museum of History in Topeka. Mary Brownback, the First Lady of Kansas, will open the festivities at 8:45 am. She says the event is designed for an entire day of family-friendly events, all in one place:

The programs will feature storytelling, songs and presentations by Kansas authors. The keynote address will be delivered by David Eisenhower, who has written a book about his grandfather, President Dwight Eisenhower. A program schedule is available online at kansasbookfestival.com.

Stephen Koranda is KPR's Statehouse reporter.
