Jayhawks Reach 30-Win Plateau

For the fourth time in the last five seasons, the University of Kansas basketball team reached the 30-victory mark. In the quarterfinals of the Big 12 tournament this (THUR) afternoon, the Jayhawks squeaked by Oklahoma State, 63 to 62. Jayhawk fans held their breath in the final seconds when Oklahoma State had the ball. Even Bill Self admitted he felt a little anxiety.

Oklahoma State's last shot was off-target, so KU advances to play the Colorado Buffaloes in the tournament semifinals. Colorado defeated the K-State Wildcats this (THUR) afternoon by a score of 87 to 75.
