It's National Radio Day! Thanks for Supporting KPR

It's National Radio Day!

Kansas Public Radio -- and its first FM transmitter, KANU -- has been serving eastern Kansas since September 15, 1952!

In the early days, the University of Kansas -- along with the state and federal government -- provided most of the support for this station. But that's changed and now listeners represent the single largest source of our financial support.

So, if you're one of the 118,000 weekly listeners who tune in to KPR for news, music and entertainment... we encourage you to contribute to this station.

Among other things, KPR and its news reporting partners, like the Kansas News Service, keep a watchful eye on state government. The average annual contribution to Kansas Public Radio is approximately $120. That's roughly $10 a month. Just 33 cents a day. Our contributors believe this service is worth it. And we hope you do too.  Please support our efforts by becoming a Sustaining member.

THANK YOU!
