Governor's Higher Education Tour Comes to KU

Governor Sam Brownback calls the University of Kansas a “great innovation institution.”  He toured the KU campus in Lawrence yesterday (TUE), where he met with school officials and student leaders.  Brownback is touring state universities this week to highlight the role higher education plays in the Kansas economy:

State legislators are proposing budget cuts to higher education, but Brownback is hoping to keep university funding at current levels.  The governor continues his tour today (WED) at Pittsburg State University.
