Film Noir Festival Comes to KC

The classic Hollywood detective movie of the 1940s and 50s has a distinct visual and thematic style...dark shadows, lots of intrigue, tough talk and cultural paranoia. This weekend, some of the best of the film noir genre will get a showcase in downtown Kansas City, drawing on the expertise of a well-known film noir expert. Film critic Eric Melin explains.

Eric Melin is a film and media critic for KPR and the website scene-stealers.com. He spoke with Noir City Film Festival creator Eddie Muller. The Noir City Kansas City Film Festival begins tonight (FRI) at the Alamo Drafthouse Mainstreet in Kansas City.
