Photo from sxc.huThe Douglas County Clerk’s Office is holding an event today (THUR) in Lawrence to provide free photo identification to voters who need it. In July, Douglas County became the first in the state to begin issuing free identification for voters at the county level. The goal is helping people comply with the state’s voter ID law. The event will be held from 3–4:30 p.m. at Presbyterian Manor in Lawrence. Proof of residence will also be required. That can include documents like a utility bill or bank statement.
Presbyterian Manor is located at 1429 Kasold Drive.
