Comedian and Activist Barry Crimmins Returns to Lawrence for Free State Festival

Political satirist and activist Barry Crimmins has made a career out of speaking his mind, encouraging people to think about difficult topics while making audiences laugh. He made a media splash last year with his one-man special, "Whatever Threatens You," which was filmed and directed by Louis C.K. at the Lawrence Arts Center. Now, he's come back to town as part of the Free State Festival, and will be performing on Friday night. He talked to KPR's Laura Lorson about why he's working on his latest material here.

That was activist and comedian Barry Crimmins speaking with KPR's Laura Lorson. Tickets are still available for Barry's show Friday night at the Lawrence Arts Center. For more information, visit freestatefestival.org
