The 2nd District race could be  as much a referendum on President Donald Trump as a choice between the candidates who are actually on the ballot.
The 2nd District race could be  as much a referendum on President Donald Trump as a choice between the candidates who are actually on the ballot.

With the election now only one week away, the race for the open seat in Kansas’ 2nd Congressional District is headed for a slugfest finish. As Jim McLean of the Kansas News Service reports, it’s a battle between a veteran Democrat and a Republican newcomer dogged by questions about his background.
