Busker Festival Invades Lawrence This Weekend

The 5th Annual Busker Festival takes over the streets of Lawrence from Friday (Aug 24) through Sunday (26th). The festival promises dozens of street performers, all displaying their skills for whoever wants to watch. Festival director Richard Renner took a few minutes to talk to KPR's David Darman and David asked how the performers got to be known as "buskers."

That was Richard Renner talking with KPR's David Darman. The Lawrence Busker Festival is taking place downtown Friday through Sunday. There's no charge to watch events, but performers have cups or other receptacles ready if you want to contribute.
