It’s been quiet at the Kansas Statehouse for most of the past month while lawmakers have been away on their annual spring break. But it’s been anything but quiet in the districts of the Senate’s two top leaders. Jim McLean of the Kansas News Service explains.

The Kansas News Service is a collaboration among public media in Kansas, dedicated to covering health, education and politics across the state.

The Kansas News Service produces essential enterprise reporting, diving deep and connecting the dots in tracking the policies, issues and and events that affect the health of Kansans and their communities. The team is based at KCUR and collaborates with public media stations and other news outlets across Kansas.
