Award-winning poet, activist and educator Nikki Giovanni is visiting the University of Kansas and will give a talk tonight (TUE), titled "Poetry: A New Conversation." Dr. Giovanni spoke with KPR's Laura Lorson last week about the role of poetry in society, politics, science and civil discourse:
