A price-gouging law is now in effect across Kansas. Attorney General Derek Schmidt says the law prohibits anyone from profiteering by raising the price on items that consumers find necessary because of the coronavirus outbreak.

The Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City has been canceled due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.  All Power Five conferences, and many others, have made the same decision.  It remains unclear whether the NCAA will continue with its own modified plans to hold March Madness tournament games across the country.
