Unemployment claims in Kansas have shot through the roof. Up 1,000% in a single week. The sudden spike in the unemployment rate is a side effect of the coronavirus outbreak, which has shut down much of the economy. Jim McLean, of the Kansas News Service, reports on the state agency overwhelmed by so many people suddenly out of work.
