Telemedicine services offer a way to provide health care to patients without actually being in the room with them. Proponents see it as a chance to improve access to care—especially in rural areas—and to improve efficiency. But there’s one big obstacle: insurance may not pay as much for those services. Bryan Thompson, of the Kansas News Service, explores how that may be changing.
