Kansas Governor Sam Brownback announced plans Thursday for a facility to provide short-term crisis care for people with acute mental illness or substance abuse problems. The Governor said the program in Kansas City, Kansas could be a model for the rest of the state. KCUR’s Alex Smith reports.
