Space is the place at our next Cinema a Go-Go! Hop a satellite and join us on Friday, April 20, when we unleash a pair of adorably cheesy sci-fi epics from the 1950s and '60s, both in glorious black-and-white.
Our big double feature includes Peter Graves starring in Killers from Space, a 1954 no-budget thriller in which alien invaders with ping pong balls for eyes plot to exterminate humanity with giant insects and lizards. Our second feature is The Phantom Planet (1961) wherein a poor schmuck is marooned on a wandering asteroid and finds himself miniaturized and caught in a planetary war.
Giant monsters! Alien bad guys! Cheap special effects! Join us at Liberty Hall in downtown Lawrence, Friday, April 20. Tickets are $10, available at the doors, which open at 6:30 p.m.
