Date:

Saturday, April 28, 2018 - 08:00

Location:

Morgan Ave Downs, Kansas

Description: 25th annual Kansas Storytelling Festival will be April 27-28, 2018. The Uncalled For Trio, Andy Offutt Irwin, Kim Weitkamp, and Bil Lepp, will be entertaining the crowd individually and in cahoots with each other. Pippa White will be returning with her poignant and dramatic interpretations of the history in the Midwest, and reminding us of the heritage and traditions that make our communities and families so individual. Dino O'Dell will be delighting the crowds with his stories and music for the young and not-so-young. The Kansas Storytelling Festival opens on a Friday afternoon and closes the following evening. Within this charmed pocket of time, the Kansas Storytelling Festival offers two evening concerts and many separate sessions of stories, workshops, and music. Puppets and Stories for Children, Homespun Tales, Historical Portrayals, Poetry, Music, and more. Storytelling sessions are held simultaneously at different locations, all within comfortable walking distance. Stories continue almost until the evening storytelling concerts. Local organizations provide food options at the festival as well as local restaurants, and opportunities to sit down and exchange stories with a friend abound. http://www.kansasstorytelling.com/ https://www.facebook.com/KansasStorytellingFestival/?ref=bookmarks Submitted by: Brenda Gutierrez Kansas Story Telling Festival
