Diversity & Inclusion Lecture

Date:

Monday, February 1, 2021 - 17:30

Location:

Virtual

Description: Part of the K-State MLK Week, the College of Business welcomes Risha Grant - D&I expert, K-State alum, and former K-State basketball player. Her interactive talk "Permission Granted: Get Rid of Your BS" will allow attendees to identify their biases while giving them easily applicable tools to get over them - however screwed up they may be. Although diversity can often be an uncomfortable topic, Risha’s approach helps attendees to understand the concept, without feeling bored or judged. Visit cba.ksu.edu/DEIB to register for this free online event. Attendees will leave this keynote understanding: - An understanding of Diversity & Inclusion - A thorough awareness of biases - A realization of how biases originated - A recognition of the symptoms and results of bias - Tools to address bias internally and externally - Tips to navigate bias in the workplace Intro Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDcu_Fog3RU&feature=youtu.be Submitted by: Olivia Law-DelRosso K-State College of Business
